Job description
As an Entry Level Structural Engineer at OFFSET Engineering you will be responsible for participating in the design and analysis processes of structural building systems from schematic design through construction administration.
General Job Tasks include:
– Preparation of structural calculations and analysis models consistent with standard practice in California.
– Preparation of structural engineering sketches, drawings, details and digital models.
– Preparation of markups for draftspersons, followed by back-checks to verify accuracy.
– Coordination of structural systems with architects and other consultants.
– Attendance at meetings with Clients.
– Performance of Site Visits.

Job description
As a Building Information (BIM) Modeler at OFFSET Engineering you will be
responsible for preparing models and drafting structural drawings/details using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Rhinoceras.
General Job Tasks include:
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
– Preparing Building Information Models that can be used in the preparation of structural drawings.
-Preparing structural engineering drawings with direction from the BIM Director and engineers employed by the Company.
-Coordinating with engineers employed by the Company as well as Architects and other Consultants as required for project demands.
-Assist with structural engineering tasks if required by the Principals.
-Developing drafting and modeling standards that can assist the Company in improving its efficiency, quality of product and branding.
-Participate in training and other similar activities (as presenter or attendee, write articles on social media platforms, etc.) that have a positive impact for the Company within the BIM community, locally, nationally and internationally.
-Assist with Information Technology (IT) and other office operations logistical tasks when required.
