The Project consists of the substantial renovation to an existing single-story unreinforced masonry (URM) including rebuilding the south west portion of the roof (approx. a 70-ft x 92-ft area) for a column-free space with a clear height of 24-ft. The new roof is supported by deep glulam in turn supported by steel columns along the perimeter of the raised roof. Lateral Stability for the raised roof, altered existing lower diaphragm and the existing south and west exterior walls is provided by new steel braced frames
